155 Miles, 3 hours.

Head out of town North on I-35.
Take MN-70 east into Wisconsin for about 80 miles total.
After passing Sand Lake, turn right at WI-27/WI-70. Enjoy it, you'll only be there for a minute.
Then turn left at E. There's a mechanic/car dealer on corner.
Turn right at N.
N eventually turns into CC.
After six miles on N/CC, turn left at Tiger Musky Rd. There'll be a sign.
Take Tiger Musky Road to the "T", turn right. One mile. Smile.

From Chicago (also for Milwaukee)

420 Miles, 7-8 hours.

Most Direct Route - be wide awake

Take 90, heading northwest out of the city. Don't look back.
Once north of Wisconsin Dells, follow signs for 94 toward Eau Claire.
Exit in Osseo (exit 88) and turn right onto Highway 10.
Take Highway 10 for a few miles until you turn left onto R.
Follow R for just another few miles until you see signs for 27 North.
Take 27 north. You'll have to turn left at the Subway/Quik Trip after a few miles, and a right once you're in Cornell. Just be sure to follow the signs and stay on 27.
About a half hour after Ladysmith, 27 deadends in Ojibwa. Turn left, heading west on 27/70.
Upon entering Radisson, turn right on H, after the BP.
Follow H for 10 miles or so until it dead ends at CC, then make a left.
A couple miles up, you'll see the Tiger Musky sign. Turn right on Tiger Musky Road. It comes up quick. Watch for the street sign that warns you there is a "T" intersection on the right. Slow down, the turnoff for TMR is close.
Take Tiger Musky Road to the "T", turn right. One mile. Smile.

Simpler, More-Highway Route - set the cruise

Take 90, heading northwest out of the city. Still, don't look back.
Once north of Wisconsin Dells, follow signs for 94 toward Eau Claire.
Just before Eau Claire, switch to 53 North
At the exit for Spooner, get off of 53 and head east on 27/70.
After passing Sand Lake, turn right at 27/70. Enjoy it, you'll only be there for a minute.
Then turn left at E. There's a mechanic/car dealer on corner.
Turn right at N. You will have passed by White Fish Lake and Little Lac Courte Oreilles Lake.
N turns into CC.
After six miles on N/CC turn left at Tiger Musky Rd. There'll be a sign.
